OLYMPIA, Wash. (WordNews.org) May 5, 2012 — On any given Sunday, one can walk into a local church service and partake in communion. It is a sacred tradition in the church.

But one company is giving it a facelift. Celebrate Communion, a subsidiary of CCI Solutions, opened for business this past January and seeks to give churches the supplies they need for communion.

“The whole mindset…is equipping churches with great resources,” said Lori Ralls, a supervisor at Celebrate Communion.

Celebrate Communion specializes in supplies such as pre-filled communion cups and fresh ideas like gluten-free wafers. All of the company’s products can be seen on its website (www.CelebrateCommunion.com).

So how did the idea for a company specializing in communion supplies come about?

“One of our co-owners (at CCI Solutions) has had a compelling desire to serve in that way for churches for a long time,” said Ralls.

The theme of service that permeates the entire organization at Celebrate Communion (its motto is “Share the Freshness – Ready to Serve”) begins with its parent company, CCI Solutions. CCI Solutions is a privately-owned company that has supplied churches with necessary resources since 1969. It deals mostly in technical supplies such as sound equipment and microphones.

CCI Solutions, headquartered in Olympia, Washington, employs 55 technicians, engineers, marketing, sales and management personnel.

CCI Solutions’ long-standing relationship with churches has helped Celebrate Communion mightily. Its products have been met with some good reviews.

“In particular the gluten-free wafers,” said Ralls.

And, for the most part, Celebrate Communion has not dealt with much competition since they deal solely in communion supplies.

“[There is no competition] in a direct way because our specific focus is communion only. There are websites that have communion products but they also contain things like choir robes. Being communion only, I don’t think we have any direct competition,” said Ralls.

The pre-filled communion cups are useful for services on cruise ships, home churches and in foreign missions.

A recent Orlando Sentinel story noted the manufacturer of Celebrate Communion’s pre-filled communion cups with wafers is testing the application in the medical field.
