Ministry to former gays has lawsuit tossed out

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WordNews.org) May 9, 2012 – A lawsuit by a homosexual activist against Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays & Gays (PFOX) has been tossed out by a federal judge, the ministry said.

PFOX said homosexual activist Wayne Besen filed a lawsuit against Greg Quinlan and PFOX claiming he’d been defamed by Quinlan, a former homosexual. Quinlan had said that Besen was fired from the Human Rights Campaign and had uttered hateful rhetoric against Quinlan because he disagreed with Quinlan’s ex-gay sexual orientation.

Attorney Matt Barber, a PFOX board member, said “Filing frivolous lawsuits and abusing our judicial system seems to be a new tactic of radical homosexual activist pressure groups like Besen’s. They are desperate to silence the message of hope that there is freedom from unwanted same-sex attractions. It won’t work and, in the end, they only humiliate themselves and hurt what is already a lost cause. The science begins to mount against the false notion that people are ‘born gay.’”

PFOX said Besen has a history of bullying members of the ex-gay community and is urging anyone who has had interaction with him to email wackywayne666@hotmail.com.
