shockwave-bannerSANTA ANA, Calif. (WordNews.org) Feb. 28, 2013 – Thousands of young people are gathering around the world beginning tomorrow for three days of prayer for Christians being persecuted globally.
The program, launched by Open Doors USA 12 years ago, is known as SHOCKWAVE. The theme this year is “Prayer and Unity,” with a focus on Hebrews 13:3 which calls on Christians to “remember those in prison as if you were their fellow prisoners, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.”
Christians will focus their prayers on March 1-3 on countries such as North Korea, Iran, China, Syria and Nigeria. Participants in past SHOCKWAVE events included believers from South Africa, Indonesia, United Kingdom, Japan, Australia, India, France, Brazil, Germany and the United States.
