WASHINGTON, D.C. (WordNews.org) Sept. 19, 2011 — AARP, a nonprofit group that lobbies on behalf of people over the age of 50, used member resources to back gay marriage and the end to the don’t ask-don’t tell policy in the military, according to the American Family Association.
The American Family Association pointed to AARP’s July/August bulletin which said: “Price is Ageless” and announced AARP’s plans for “advocacy efforts in the LGBT arena.”
AARP has created an online home for older gays, bisexuals and transgendered individuals.
The American Family Association is urging people to consider canceling their memberships, “otherwise their money may be used to promote the homosexual political agenda.”
To contact AARP, email members@aarp.com, call 888.687.2277 or visit https://mss.aarp.org/mss_idmbr.html.
