NASHVILLE (WordNews.org) Nov. 2, 2011 – Christian recording artist Britt Nicole has been touring with fellow singer/songwriter Brandon Heath since Oct. 6.
Tomorrow, another town, another state. This time, Dothan, Ala. At Ridgecrest Baptist Church.
“We’re having a great tour so far,” Britt tells WordNews.org.
The two knew each other before hitting it big. Before even recording their first albums. [Britt’s latest hit single is “Hanging On” off “The Lost Get Found”].
“I met Brandon eight years ago and we wrote a song together,” she says.
The song, “Found By You,” is on Nicole’s extended play album “Acoustic,” which was released in 2010. The song debuted at No. 22 on Billboard’s Hot Christian Albums chart.
“It’s really cool – from then until now – still being friends and now being able to tour together,” she says. “We do a little acoustic set in his show that’s a lot of fun where we do a few songs together.”
The two met through a mutual friend who suggested they write together.
“We were focused on writing as many good songs as we could so we could at some point make a record,” Britt recalls. “We got together and the third writing session I had in Nashville—the first song that I completed was done in Nashville with Brandon. So it’s pretty cool that now we get to sing that song on tour together each night. Really, really neat.”
