BELLEFONTE, Pa. (WordNews.org) June 28, 2012 — Mark your calendars: The Great American Fast begins Sept. 7 at 6 p.m. and ends 24 hours later.
The purpose is to call praying Americans to fast and pray “for the very presence of God in our nation once again,” organizers said.
Churches are encouraged to participate at their own location or visit the epicenter at The Lamar Lighthouse Camp in Lamar, Pa.
“What began as a small town endeavor has reached across America and into six countries,” said Pastor William Kovacic who organized the Fast in 2011. “We are really excited about what God is doing and we look forward to Him doing greater things.”
