IRAN (WordNews.org) Oct. 3, 2012 – Christian Pastor Youcef Nardarkhani’s attorney has been sentenced to nine years in one of Iran’s most dangerous prisons.
The attorney has been given the choice of being whipped or paying a fine.
The American Center for Law and Justice is seeking to raise attention and support to the attorney’s plight.
Jay Sekulow, ACLJ’s chief counsel, said millions of people were reached through the Tweet for Youcef campaign. Youcef was released last month.
“Will you tweet to help set his attorney free?” Sekulow asked supporters in a letter.
