WASHINGTON, D.C. (WordNews.org) Oct. 13, 2011 — The U.S. Supreme Court let stand a case involving a same-sex couple wanting to have their adopted son’s birth certificate altered to say he had two fathers.

A federal appeals court decided the gay couple from New York could not force Louisiana to change the boy’s birth certificate from the boy’s biological parents to that of the gay couple.
