Faith film ‘The Potential Inside’ hits stores Jan. 15

thepotentialinsideDALLAS (WordNews.org) Jan. 13, 2013 – The Potential Inside, a faith film that takes a look at the hyper-competitive world of professional mountain bike racing, hits retails stores on Jan. 15.
Directed by newcomer Scott Curlee, a former competitive bike racer, the film follows Chris Carmik’s chase for glory at the expense of his family. Carmik (played by Curlee) takes a sudden turn that throws him off course.
Or does it?
“God created each of us for a purpose, and he wants us to live our life and live it more abundantly,” said Curlee, who also wrote the screen play.
The film was an official selection of Italy’s International Festival of Cinema and Religion and the Transforming Stories International Film Festival in South Africa.
Curlee was born and raised in Korea to a Korean mom and an American dad. He came to the United States to pursue his passion for competitive bike racing and later, found success in the pharmaceutical industry.
But he wants to do more.
“I wanted to have a life work that could have an impact on people on a global platform,” he said., and filmmaking was it, combining his passion for bike racing and his desire to make a difference.
The film is produced by Red Cloud Productions and distributed by EchoLight Studios.
“This movie encourages men to be who God made them to be . . . a dad, a husband, a friend,” said Christopher Morrow, EchoLight’s chief global strategist. “Scotty Curlee has made a film that hits home for us guys on so many levels and is wonderfully inspirational for the whole family.”
