The Digital Bible Society offering free Bibles, commentaries and movies on microchips

digitalbibleCONROE, Texas (WordNews.org) May 25, 2013 – Numerous Bibles, commentaries, evangelistic movies and other books are available in multiple languages  for free on chips no bigger than a fingernail.

The Digital Bible Society said the new additions – available on DVD or microchip — including movies such as The Jesus Film, GodMan, Hope and God’s story, are translated into Arabic, Persian, Turkish, Spanish, Russian and Vietnamese.

“Micro SD chips can be used on a number of devices including computers, tablets, cell phones, MP3 players, and hand held projectors and are ideal for giving needed resources to believers in closed access nations,” said Ken Allen, founder and CEO of the Digital Bible Society. “Each digital library contains necessary tools a pastor will need for disciplining, leadership and evangelism.”

The Digital Bible Society has compiled the Bibles and Christian literature In partnership with Bible translators, mission agencies and Christian content creators. They are available in free-to-copy quality digital libraries. Allen said the Digital Society’s mission is to partner with mission organizations, churches, and individuals in the distribution these libraries.

“To date we recognize that there are 53 language groups in the world that do not have access to their own Bible,” said Hannes Furter, the society’s chief content officer. “It is our goal to complete digital libraries for all 53 language groups within the next ten years.”
