ABBOTSFORD, Canada (WordNews.org) March 2, 2012 – A decade ago, Greg Gordon came across a book by the late Leonard Ravenhill. So impacted by the message, Gordon put the message online.

That was 10 years ago, while Gordon was still living in his parent’s home.

“I never really considered the website a ministry for the longest time; it simply began as a hobby,” he said.  ”Only after the first million sermons were downloaded and many testimony letters came in that I realized God is powerfully using this website for His glory.”

Now, the site, Sermonindex.net has received 20 million downloads of some of the best classic sermons of the past. And Gordon has received praise for his free site by some well-know church leaders.

“This site is just what the body of Christ needs to prepare us for our Lord’s return.” Said K.P. Yohannan, director of Gospel for Asia.

George Verwer, founder of Operation Mobilisation, called Sermonindex a “great website and ministry.”

“I enjoy using sermon index because it allows me to listen to messages from preachers who have gone on to glory,” said Michael Catt, pastor of Sherwood Baptist Church.
