CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., (WordNews.org) March 13, 2012 – Kentucky pastor Randy Vaugh has been named president and CEO of the Christian Aid Mission, the board announced today.
Vaught has served on the board for more than 16 years. The agency is considered the oldest focused solely on the support of indigenous missions. It was founded in 1953 and links American churches with indigenous missions in 122 countries.
Today it sends aid to more than 800 native mission ministries that deploy more than 80,000 missionary workers serving the Lord among 3,000 tribes, tongues and nations.
Sixty-one-year-old Vaught started Capital Baptist Church in Frankfurt, Kentucky, in 1980, where he has been a pastor for the past three decades.
He said his priority will be to advance the spiritual climate of the organization.
“I believe God has strategically prepared Christian Aid to shine the life and light of Jesus Christ to all the nations of the earth,” he said.
