CHICAGO (WordNews.org) Dec. 17, 2012 – A woman leaves an abortion clinic where pro-life carolers had been singing.

She finds a pro-life counselor and said the songs about Mary and Baby Jesus made her stop and think. She could not go through with the abortion.

Eric Scheidler, executive director of the Pro-Life Action League, recounts the story as the anti-abortion group prepares for what it calls its annual Empty Net Christmas Caroling Day at abortion clinics in Chicago and western suburbs, scheduled for Dec. 22.

“These beloved Christmas carols remind us all of the hope and joy brought into the world by a newborn baby,” said Scheidler. “We want to share that hope with the mothers entering these abortion clinics. We want them to know that just like Baby Jesus, their unborn babies are a gift, too.”

In 2011, 130 carolers participated in caroling event. Similar caroling tours were held at abortion facilities throughout the country, with even more groups signing on this year.

“We encourage more pro-lifers to join this national event,” said Scheidler. “Simply download and print out our caroling booklet and gather a few friends to sing carols at the abortion facilities in your area.”
