Faith and Public Policy Institute to release agenda on how to “eradicate poverty”

faithandpolicyPRINCETON, N.J., (WordNews.org) Jan. 2, 2013 –The Faith and Public Policy Institute will release details on its Moral Agenda to Eradicate Poverty next month.

The institute, citing U.S. Census data that shows 49.7 million Americans living below the poverty line with annual incomes below $22,811 for a family of four, says America is at a critical point. President Jessica Davis said the institute is planning to pick up the 1968 poverty policy mantle of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “Poor People’s Campaign.

Dr. Davis will be releasing details at 4 p.m. on Jan. 19 at the Turning Point United Methodist Church in Princeton, N.J.

Davis, is the former dean of students and assistant professor of ethics and public policy at New Brunswick Theological Seminary.
