Patricia Raybon

(WordNews.org) June 15, 2020 — Author Patricia Raybon believes now more than ever writers of every background may play a role to “help heal racial wounds by writing truthfully about our radial struggles and journeys.”

That is why Raybon, author of the award-winning memoir “My First White Friend,” is holding a free webinar on June 18 at 2pm ET titled “Race, Grace and Forgiveness: Can we Write Our Way to Racial Healing?”

Raybon, whose work has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Newsweek, In Touch Magazine, Our Daily Bread and Christianity Today, said her webinar will issues writers will have to grapple with in order to play a role in healing.

“What’s required? How does one start? What narrative and spiritual elements make a ‘racial’ story work for both writer, editor, and reader?” asks Raybon. The answers to these and other questions will be addressed in her timely, one-hour class and discussion.

Have a question you’d like Raybon to address? Send your questions to director@evangelicalpress.com.

The class is free for both members and nonmembers of the Evangelical Press Association. Click here to register: “Race, Grace and Forgiveness? Can We Write Our Way to Racial Healing?”
